I am an independent developer in Reykjavík. I build quiet, dependable tools — mostly for people who run small businesses and would rather not fight their software.

Tide and weather tables for coastal operators, cached so they keep working when the signal does not.
A tiny static site generator for small guesthouses. Edit a spreadsheet, get a website.
Invoicing and VAT bookkeeping for one-person companies. Boring on purpose.
A field-recording log I wrote for myself and never managed to stop improving.
Occasional writing about the craft, roughly once a month.
I have spent about fifteen years writing software, the last six of them on my own. Before that I worked on logistics systems and a long stretch of backend plumbing for a payments company. I like problems where the constraint is real: a weak connection, an old laptop, a user with four minutes to spare.
I work in small, fixed-scope engagements and I prefer to leave a project in a state where nobody needs me. When I am not at the desk I am usually out walking somewhere windy, or recording the sound of it. The houseplants are a work in progress.
Taking on a small number of projects at a time. A short note about what you are building is the best place to start.
